Complete and total beginners who have never touched a soccer ball in their lives are especially welcome! Our games are either co-ed or women-only and are excruciatingly slow and overly friendly with lots of rules to keep it that way. Please do not joi …

I'm a freelancer who works mostly evenings and weekends. So I'm hoping to find some like-minded people who can play some casual coed footy weekday mornings at the Parade Grounds. Emphasis will be placed on a flowing, non-competitive and fun game where the score doesn't count. This is a new Meetup group not meant to conflict with any of the established and popular ones already in place. The idea would be to play weekday daytime in a convenient spot in the Parade Grounds. Beginners and intermedi …

A fun fitness group delivered by an English Physical Education Teacher and Rugby player in Central Park. After 5 years of teaching in Los Angeles, New York and London, personal training, playing rugby all over the world and having a hatred for the stereotypical personal training attitudes. I have decided to create a fitness fun club in the park, to simply put the fun back into getting fit or trying something different, as training on your own is boring. Bring yourself, your friend, your children …
I started this group to get fun pickup soccer games started in Kissena park. The turf field there is decent, I can supply pinnies and a ball so all we need is 20 or so players every now and then. I'm 30 and at the end of my playing career so I'm happy to play with anybody of almost any level. We'll say please be of basic to advanced ability. Hopefully this works and we'll get some games going soon.
I LOVE tennis!! My relationship with running is a bit more complicated. It's more of a love/hate type thing. I love the energy and excitement of races, but I hate running alone. So I figured, why not start a Queens Tennis meetup that incorporates warm up and short distance runs before we play tennis. Two of my favorite parks are Astoria Park and Flushing Meadows/Corona Park, so I will be alternating the meetups between these two parks. Both are great for running and tennis. The purpose of …
