You'll get invited to our Meetups as soon as they're scheduled!
Since it was author Lewis Carroll that indirectly inspired me to start this particular Meetup,I am going to have a Mad Tea Party in honor of his birthday:27 January 1832
Cypress Point Park
5620 W. Cypress Street
Tampa, FL 33607
...at the western end of Cypress Avenue in Tampa.
It's a small park, I dont think it gets crowded. And it has big water views.
This will be a potluck picnic. The park is small and the grills are first come, first served.
So you probably want to bring your dish already cooked. Bring any tea that you'd like.
SInce it's a public park, Long Island Ice Teas arent recommended.
I'll also run a nice little Croquet Tournament or two. A game takes up to six players, but we can improvise.
If there are a lot of players, we can have several quick games.
Dress:
I'm not looking for full costumes. I'm suggesting(not mandatory) something that is inspired by a charachter. For example, my charachter is the Headman, so I would wear something like a black jacket, maybe a bandana, and the shades Arnold wore in Terminator. When in doubt, you can go with playing cards.
